Basic information:
The
eWON company is one of the leading manufacturers of industrial
VPN routers for remote device management. The
eWON Flexy line of industrial routers is fully compatible with PLCs produced by renowned manufacturers:
Siemens,
Allen-Bradley,
Modicon,
Wago,
ABB,
Omron,
Hitachi,
Mitsubishi,
VIPA, etc. ..
Compact industrial router
eWON CD allows remote connection to devices (using
VPN) and it is also possible to use it as hardware data concentrator (the 2000 family for online data, the 4000 family also provides logging capability into local memory).
The modular industrial router
eWON Flexy allows (
VPN) connectivity to remote sites where communication technologies may change in time, or where it is required to communicate with devices using various communication protocols. The
Flexy basic unit can be complemented with additional modules, e.g.:
LAN module, modem (
3G,
4G,
PSTN...), serial link (
RS232/485/422), WiFi module (803.11 b, g, n), IO module (8x
DI, 4x
AI, 2x
DO) etc. The
Flexy also has internal memory for local datalogging.
eWON CD and eWON Flexy features:
These routers can read data from various devices using built-in communication protocols and also enable the data to other superior devices by the
Modbus protocol or by the
SNMP protocol (in principle, these devices can also be used as hardware communication converters from various protocols to
Modbus or
SNMP), by
FTP or by
HTTP in
XML format. Another option is to make data available by means of the integrated
OPC UA server.
eWON Flexy and
eWON CD of the
4000 series can also log the data locally (as
datalogger). It is possible to keep log of more than 1 million values with a timestamp.
Supported communication protocols:
Modbus RTU,
Modbus TCP/IP,
Uni-Telway,
EtherNet/IP,
DF1,
FINS TCP,
FINS Hostlink,
ISOTCP,
PPI,
MPI,
PROFIBUS,
Mistubishi FX,
Hitachi EH,
ASCII,
BACNET/IP
VPN support: secured remote access via VPN
HMI Web server: integrated user Web server for remote monitoring
Communication of eWON router with the PROMOTIC system
Reading online data:
Reading current data is possible if the PROMOTIC application runs in common local network with the eWON device, or if the eWON device is directly visible on the Internet (unsecure communication), or if the eWON device is connected via VPN (secure communication managed by the eCatcher software).
Reading historical (offline) data:
Historical data can be read both localy and remotely. The
eWON device can also save the data into a public cloud service using the
Talk2M internet service or into its own cloud managed by the
eFive VPN Server.
