Preconfiguration "PmMelsecQA - PLC Mitsubishi - Communication set with data and panel"

Communication driver configuration PmMelsecQA.

This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object ..." in the local object menu or after pressing the Insert key after selecting the object) and is included in the group: " / Communication / Mitsubishi - PLC device".

This preconfiguration can be used with the objects: PmaFolder or PmaRoot.

 
The preconfiguration creates an object of the PmaComm type and a testing data set. Also the panel with complex Pmg objects is created for displaying the status.
 
- The preconfiguration creates an object of the PmaFolder type containing PmaComm object with PmaCommGroup subobject and following objects: PmaPanel, PmaData.
- The preconfiguration is created including the panel (object of the PmaPanel type) is functional also a Web panel.
- The panel is used for communication testing and it is not essential for the functionality.
 
In the PmaComm object named "Comm" the communication parameters are set (Network address, ...). The required data is defined in the PmaData object and connected via the ExtComm to the PmaCommGroup object.
These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:
The name of created objectName of the object created in the tree of Pma objects. The maximum name length is 30 characters. This is a system name, so it must contain only alphanumeric and must not contain any diacritics, empty string, spaces and the first character must not be a number.

Default: "MelsecQA"

Communication type
Network TCP/IP communication (default)
Serial communication
Network addressNetwork address to which the communication will be connected. The address can be entered by both IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.15) or by name (e.g. server11).

Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated after starting the application).

After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaComm > Setting the parameters of the Ethernet-client > Network address" configurator will be set to this value.

TCP/UDP port numberEthernet port number for communication.

Values defined in the Ethernet converter.

Serial portSelection of the communication serial port.

The value can be change by the OpenPort method. The value can be detected by method GetProtParam(""SerPort"").

After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaComm > Setting the parameters of the serial link > Serial port" configurator will be set to this value.

Not set - The object is not connected to any port after starting the application and the serial port can be selected dynamically by the algorithm (by the PmaComm.OpenPort method).
COM1, COM2,..,COM66 - The specified serial port is opened after starting the application. This port must be correctly configured and accessible in the OS Windows (no one can use it).

For serial link each PmaComm object must have defined another communication port. For example, if one PmaComm object communicates through COM1, then next PmaComm object can communicate for example through COM2 (COM3, ...) but it mustn't communicate through COM1.

Baud rateSelection of the baud rate (bps, bit per second).

This configurator sets the initial value of the BaudRate property.

After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaComm > Setting the parameters of the serial link > Baud rate" configurator will be set to this value.

ParityParity selection. Appropriate value for the device, which it is communicated with, must be selected.

This configurator sets the initial value of the Parity property.

After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaComm > Setting the parameters of the serial link > Parity" configurator will be set to this value.

Protocol formatSpecifies the structure of the protocol.

Depends on the PLC type and the setup (e.g. depends on MODE switch setting on AJ71C24 communication module).

3E/ASCII = Q/L series ethernet (3E compatible), ASCII Format -

The protocol for Ethernet for PLCs of the Q and L series. It is a modification of the "ASCII code" (the modification of the "binary code" has not been implemented in the driver)..

3C/CF1 = Q series serial (3C compatible), Control Format 1 -

The protocol for serial link for Q C24 series PLCs. It is the basic (recommended) mode and there are three derived submodes.

3C/CF2 = Q series serial (3C compatible), Control Format 2 (Format 1 with block num added) -

Submode of the 3C/CF1 format, with added block number.

3C/CF3 = Q series serial (3C compatible), Control Format 3 (Format 1 with STX+ETX added) -

Submode of the 3C/CF1 format, where the protocol starts with the STX (=2) character and ends with the ETX (=3) character.

3C/CF4 = Q series serial (3C compatible), Control Format 4 (Format 1 with CR+LF added) -

Submode of the 3C/CF1 format, where the two CR+LF characters are placed at the end of each message.

1C/CF1 = A series (1C compatible), Control Format 1 -

Protocol for serial link for A series PLCs, but also can be used for Q series PLCs. It is the basic (recommended) mode and there are three derived submodes.

1C/CF2 = A series (1C compatible), Control Format 2 (Format 1 with block num added) -

Submode of the 1C/CF1 format, with added block number.

1C/CF3 = A series (1C compatible), Control Format 3 (Format 1 with STX+ETX added) -

A1E/ASCII = A series Ethernet ASCII (for A1SJ71E71 Ethernet interface module) -

The protocol for Ethernet for A series PLCs with additional communication module A1SJ71E71-B2/B5. The SW2 switch is in the ASCII protocol syntax position.

A1E/BIN = A series Ethernet Binary (for A1SJ71E71 Ethernet interface module) -

The protocol for Ethernet for PLCs of the FX series with integrated Ethernet port and A series PLCs with additional communication module A1SJ71E71-B2/B5. In the PLC device the Communication Data Code switch (or SW2 switch on modules) must be switched to binary protocol syntax position.

Communication refresh rate [ms]The time period in milliseconds to be used for reading the current data by the PROMOTIC application.

After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaCommGroup > Parameters > Communication refresh rate [ms]" configurator will be set to this value.
