Data binding LN - Data binding as linear function calculation
The data binding LN
ensures the value change of the required configurator by the control variable. The control variable is in fact the x-coordinate of the point of the specified row (see "Limit 1
" and "Limit 2
" configurator) and the resulting value is the y-coordinate of this point.
This data binding is obsolete (but functional) and it is better to use the "E - Data binding to the general expression" data binding (see Example6).
Data binding configurators:
|Control variable||In this field a control variable must be defined that is usually linked to the next data binding (it can even be a constant).|
|Limit 1||X-coordinate of the 1st point of the linear function.|
|Limit 2||X-coordinate of the 2nd point of the linear function.|
This data binding is also functional in Web panels
. The evaluation of the data binding does not need to communicate with the Web server (with PROMOTIC application) - the evaluation is done on the client side (i.e. on the Web browser).
