Preconfiguration "PmS7 - Minimal set of the PmaComm object"

Communication driver configuration PmS7 - Driver for communication by the S7-TCP/IP protocol.

This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object ..." in the local object menu or by pressing the Insert key after selecting the object) and is included in the group: "/ Communication / Protocols and other communications / S7" and "/ Communication / PLC devices and meters / Siemens Simatic - PLC device"
This preconfiguration can be created in the object: PmaFolder or PmaRoot.

The created preconfigured connection is functional usually immediately. Otherwise it is necessary to obtain the connection parameters specified by the device manufacturer or see also PmS7 - Driver for communication by the S7-TCP/IP protocol..
These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:
The name of created objectName of the object created in the tree of Pma objects. The maximum name length is 30 characters. This is a system name, so it must contain only alphanumeric and must not contain any diacritics (i.e. national dependent chars), empty string, spaces and the first character must not be a number.
Default: "Comm"
Network addressNetwork address of the remote device (e.g. of the PLC device), to which the communication will be connected.
The address can be entered by both IPv4 address (e.g. 192.168.0.15) or by computer name (e.g. server11).
The IPv4 address 127.0.0.1 is the local address of this computer.
Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated after starting the application).
After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaComm > Setting the parameters of the Ethernet-client > Network address" configurator will be set to this value.
Communication refresh rate [ms]The period in milliseconds to be used for reading the current data by the PROMOTIC application.
After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaCommGroup > Parameters > Communication refresh rate [ms]" configurator will be set to this value.
Rack(0-7) Specifies the rack number where the CPU for communication is located. Usually is 0.
CPU Slot(0-31) Specifies the slot number where the CPU for communication is located. (Caution: it is NOT the slot of the communication card!)
- Very often the value is 2.
- For built-in Ethernet interface (e.g. S7-1200, S7-1500, CPU1512SP ...) the value is 1.
