Parameters for type: Oracle database

Description:
The window serves for setting the parameters for the data storage into the Oracle database. This type of saving is suitable especially for local alarm group (server) where the alarm group represents a place in the application where the alarm items really originate and are stored in the database for viewing purposes. The window serves for setting the parameters for database connection and also for setup of database table parameters (e.g. the maximum table size). Each time the maximum number of database table records is exceeded the oldest records are automatically deleted.

In case of a remote alarm group (see "Remote group (client)" configurator), it sets the way of getting the data for the history viewer by file sharing . The current alarm state is not transferred by this way. The alarm states have to be transferred somehow between groups and to set the states by a script. The simplest way, in this case, is to use the data sharing of an alarm group by means of the "Remote connection over WEB" configurator where both the state viewer (including the alarm acknowledgement) and the history viewer are active.

Configuration items:
Data source (ConnectionString)The ADO ConnectionString (http://www.connectionstrings.com) contains all necessary parameters needed by the ADO Connection object for database connection via the selected ADO Provider.

Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated after starting the application).

This configurator must not contain an empty string. For example "Provider=MSDASQL;Data Source=pm_data;User ID=pm_writer;Password=pmwriter;"
Additional parametersAdditional parameters for saving. Entries are in KeyVal format, for example "par1:value1;".

Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated after starting the application).

TableName of the table in the database into which the data are stored.

Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated after starting the application).

Maximal records count (-1 = unlimited)Maximum size of the table specified by the records count. When the maximum limit is exceeded the oldest records are deleted.

The value -1 means that the maximum size of the table is not limited by the records count.
