When installing
older versions of the PROMOTIC system, the installation of the driver
of the hardware key fails. After completing the installation, it is therefore necessary to upgrade this driver.

The following procedure is recommended:
- Download the updated driver (zip)
Procedure valid for PROMOTIC versions 7.3.9 - 8.3.32
- Before installing, uninstall the original driver.
From the command line enter path to the folder of the PROMOTIC system (in older PROMOTIC versions it is C:\Pm) and to the driver of the hardware key hinstall with the -kp -r -fr -purge parameter (for example as follows: C:\Pm\hinstall -kp -r -fr -purge) and run it.
- Unzip the contents of the downloaded zip file into the "Pm" folder and replace the original hinstall.exe with the new one from the zip file.
- Then run the installation of the downloaded updated driver.
For example as follows: C:\Pm\hinstall -i
Result will be reported in the information window.
Procedure valid for PROMOTIC versions 9.x.x
- Unzip the contents of the downloaded zip file into the "
\Promotic\Tools\HwKey" folder and replace the original
hinstall.exe with the new one from the zip file.
