DDE - configuration window
Description:
Definition of the dynamic data exchange
DDE conditions between applications. The PROMOTIC application can be at the same time a
DDE client and
DDE server for other applications.
This configuration window can be opened on the "
PmaRoot > Other" tab.

DDE enabled | If checked, then data sharing by DDE is enabled. |

DDE client groups:
This part is used if PROMOTIC application has to be a
DDE client. See:
Setting as DDE client
DDE client groups | The names of all so far defined DDE clients groups are displayed here. List can be modified by the buttons on the right. |
New | Button opens the "DDE client group" configuration window where it can be defined a new DDE client group. |
Delete | Button removes the selected DDE client group. |
Edit | Button opens the "DDE client group" configuration window where it is possible to edit the selected DDE client group. |

DDE server:
This part is used if PROMOTIC application has to be a
DDE server. See:

Application 'service' | Service name of the application. The name must be unique within the application. This service administers all shared items of all clients applications. Usually the name equals to the application name (thus PROMOTIC). But if two or more applications set as a server are connected, then these applications must have different service names. |
Shared data 'topic' | Name of data area |
Share all data except disabled | If checked, then the application shares data determined for sharing and data that have set Undefined in setting of the sharing. If the option is not checked nor the option Disable data sharing is checked, then only data determined for sharing are shared. |
Disable data sharing | If checked, then no data are shared. |
