| Login name | The login name that the designer will use to log-in to the development environment.
The login name is mandatory and must not be empty. If only one designer is registered in the PROMOTIC development environment, then the login name is not entered (only the password is entered if it is filled in). If more than one designer is registered, then the login name is always entered. |
|---|---|
| Password | The password that the application designer will use to log-in to the development environment.
If the password is blank, then additional authentication conditions are used to authenticate the application designer. Thus, the password and the additional authentication conditions must not be both empty. |
| Confirm password | Check repeat of the entered password. |
| Additional authentication conditions | Additional conditions for authentication of the application designer to the PROMOTIC development environment.
In addition to the password, additional authentication conditions are another way to secure the application against unauthorized access. The string of additional conditions is a list where each condition is either a licence key number and/or Unique user number (PmUserNumber). If the password is not blank, then the correct password must be entered for successful application designer authentication and at least one condition from the list of additional authentication conditions must also be met. Thus, the password and the additional authentication conditions must not be both empty. - either the licence number prefaced by the 'k' prefix (e.g. k1028)
- in case of key loss a new key can be bought, but it will have a different number and will not be suitable for application editing.
- one company may have multiple keys, requesting all of them to be usable for application editing.
Therefore it is better to protect the application by PmUserNumber, because this number is unique only for specific company and the same number can be burned into multiple development (or runtime) keys of this company. k1028 | g200 |
| Description | User-defined description of the application designer. |
| Belongs to designer groups | List of the application designer groups to which the designer belongs.
After successful login, the application designer will be assigned permissions from the listed groups, which then determine the designer's access to various parts of the application or development environment (e.g. deny access to selected objects in the Pma object tree). |
