Communication with SAUTER Nova devices
For communication with SAUTER Nova devices of the EY3600 series is used ActiveX driver developed by ISOFEN s.r.o.. Driver communicate through standard serial link with hw router EYZ291 with standard connection and it supports all three communication speeds. Driver methods enable direct reading and writing of technological variables and reading, writing and editation of time programs as well. State changes of technological variables come from controlers network spontaneously such, so it cannot be cyclic requsting for variables state.
The driver can communicate with all types of devices of the EY3600 series, namely: nova210, nova215, nova220, nova225, nova230, novaFlex, ecos, nova106.
At www.isofen.net pages driver can be downloaded under the EY36LibX name. After instalation without purchasing the license (without sw key) the driver can be used for test purposes. In this case the driver is functional 1/2 hour after every running of PROMOTIC system.
The component is protected by software key and is functional only on computers, where is was activated. The activation procedure can be done manually or automatically by means of utilities supplied with software product. Driver price is specified according to number of used points (see Price list), where 1 point is 1 counter, DI, DO or analog.
In the PROMOTIC price list this driver is stated under the Sauter Nova name. License for the driver can be ordered directly at the ISOFEN or MICROSYS company.
Usage of the PmActiveX object is bound to the purchase of the PmActiveX license in the application. With the freeware version PmFree, or when developing the application (with development environment for tersting purposes), this component is always functional.

Communication with older types of SAUTER devices
The PROMOTIC system communicates with the SAUTER devices and iRSM stations over the communication DDE server from the MARTIA company.The DDE driver can communicate with the majority of SAUTER and iRSM stations (stations of the MARTIA company). It can't communicate only with the latest SAUTER stations (of the 3600 NOVA type).
The finite DEMO version of the DDE server is available. This version can be obtained after stating your contact and address.
In the PROMOTIC price list this driver is stated under the Sauter DDE name. The communication DDE server can be ordered directly at the MARTIA or MICROSYS company.
The HW key protects (for parallel port !!) the DDE driver. The compatibility of the PROMOTIC HW key and the DDE server HW key was checked (both HW keys can be put into one LPT port).
