Graphic items data bindings

The term Data binding expresses binding the graphic item configurator with the variable. It means that the item configurator that has defined the data binding, is affected by the value of the variable which it is bound with. The data binding is defined in the configuration window of the item. The binding can be defined for all configurators where the data binding button is placed.

Example:

There is the PmFolder object ("Boiler1") in the PROMOTIC system application editor. and there is the PmNumber object ("Temperature1") in this object. The value of this item is to be displayed in the panel by the PmiText graphic item. In the configuration of this graphic item click the data binding button in the Text configurator. Select: Data binding PP - Binding to Promotic object property, browse the Promotic object PmData, item type Var ("Temperature1") and enter the desired property (in this case Value) in the Property configurator.
