Preconfigurations PmS7 - Simatic S7-1200 Ethernet - Communication set with data and panel
Communication driver configuration PmS7 - Driver for communication by S7-TCP/IP protocol
This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object"
in the local object menu or by pressing the Insert
key after selecting the object) and is included in the group: " / Communications / S7 protocol"
This preconfiguration can be used with the objects: PmFolder or PmRoot.
The preconfiguration creates the PmComm
communication object and data for the corresponding number of analog and digital inputs and outputs. It is also possible to create a set of exemplary data. Also the panel with complex graphic items is created for displaying their status. This allows to define the required number for the specific connected device.
- The preconfiguration is created including the panel (PmPanel
object) functionality as a WEB panel
- The panel is used for communication testing and it is not essential for the functionality.
In the PmComm
object named Comm
the communication parameters (TCP-IP address
, ....) are set. The required data is defined in the PmData
object and connected via the ExtComm
to the PmCommData
These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:
|The name of created object||Name of the object created in the application object tree. This is a system name and must not contain empty string, diacritics, spaces and the first character must not be a number.|
|Network address||Network address to which the communication will be connected. The address can be entered by both IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.15) or by name (e.g. server11).|
Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated while the application is launching). After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmComm > Settings of the Ethernet parameters > Network address
|Communication refresh rate [ms]||The time period in milliseconds to be used for reading the data by the PROMOTIC application. After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmCommData > Parameters > Communication refresh rate [ms]|
|The number of digital inputs||Possible to enter the number according to the device type|
|The number of digital outputs||Possible to enter the number according to the device type|
|The number of analog inputs||Possible to enter the number according to the device type|
|Examples of additional M (Memory) and DB (Data Block) data||A set of exemplary data is created|
|Panel title||Displayed in the panel header|
