Communication by the Modbus TCP/IP
protocol with Quido

The valid TCP-IP
address must be set to the Quido
module according to the corresponding network environment. The configuration is described in the user manual suppiled by the manufacturer.
This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object"
in the local object menu or by pressing the Insert
key after selecting the object) and is included in the group: " / Communications / Modbus protocol"
This preconfiguration can be used with the objects: PmFolder or PmRoot.
- The preconfiguration is created including the panel (PmPanel
object) functionality as a WEB panel
- The panel is used for communication testing and it is not essential for the functionality.
In the PmComm
object named Comm
the communication parameters (Network address
, ....) are set. The PmCommData
object named data
includes a Parameters
page where Special Parameters
(See: PmModbusMr - Driver for communication by Modbus Master protocol
) are defined. On the Data
page, the items are imported by the data extensions of the items defined in the PmData
object (See: ExtComm
If the "Temperature sensor connected
" configurator was checked in the preconfiguration, then there will be the temperature meter present in the right portion of the screen. The left portion of the panel contains two columns with PmiPanel
graphic items. These items contain identical dinx
parameter. The parameter defines the index (order) for connecting the items to the correct data, independently for DI and DO. The inserted items display according to their purpose, the values, names and colour status based on the data comming from the communication. The column for digital outputs also contains two ON/OFF buttons that can be used for controlling the digital outputs.
These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:
|The name of created object||Name of the object created in the application object tree. This is a system name and must not contain empty string, diacritics, spaces and the first character must not be a number.|
|Temperature sensor connected||If the connected I/O module supports temperature measurement and the temperature sensor is connected|
|Number of binary inputs||Number of binary inputs of the connected module|
|Number of controlled binary inputs||Number of binary inputs of the connected module|
|Network address||Network address to which the communication will be connected. The address can be entered by both IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.15) or by name (e.g. server11).|
Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated while the application is launching). After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmComm > Settings of the Ethernet parameters > Network address
