Preconfigurations PmMelsecQA - PLC Mitsubishi - Communication set with data and panel

Communication driver configuration PmMelsecQA - Driver for communication with Mitsubishi PLCs of the A/Q/L series

This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object" in the local object menu or by pressing the Insert key after selecting the object) and is included in the group: " / Communications / Mitsubishi PLC".

This preconfiguration can be used with the objects: PmFolder or PmRoot.

 
The preconfiguration creates the PmComm communication object and a testing data set. Also the panel with complex graphic items is created for displaying the status.
 
- Preconfiguration creates an object of type PmFolder containing PmComm object with PmCommData subobject and following objects: PmPanel, PmData.
- The preconfiguration is created including the panel (PmPanel object) functionality as a WEB panel.
- The panel is used for communication testing and it is not essential for the functionality.
 
In the PmComm object named Comm the communication parameters (TCP-IP address, ....) are set. The required data is defined in the PmData object and connected via the ExtComm to the PmCommData object.
These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:
The name of created objectName of the object created in the application object tree. This is a system name and must not contain empty string, diacritics, spaces and the first character must not be a number.

Default: "MelsecQA"

Network TCP IP communication (default)
Serial communication
Network addressNetwork address to which the communication will be connected. The address can be entered by both IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.15) or by name (e.g. server11).

Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated while the application is launching).

After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmComm > Settings of the Ethernet parameters > Network address
TCP/UDP port numberEthernet port number for communication. For communication with the PLC this number is usually hardware predefined and the PROMOTIC application must use the same value (see the note below).

Serial portSelection of the communication serial port.

After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmComm > Settings of the serial link parameters > Serial port.

Not set - The object is not connected to any port at the start of the application and the serial port can be selected dynamically by the algorithm (by the PmComm.OpenPort method).
Modem - The object is meant for the data transfer over the dialed phone line (over the PmModem object). The serial port is assigned by the PmModem.SetPmComm method or by the PmComm object configurator of the PmModem object.
COM1, COM2,..,COM66 - The specified serial port is opened at the start of the application. This port must be correctly configured and accessible in the OS Windows (no one can use it).

For serial link each PmComm object must have defined another communication port. For example, when one PmComm object communicates through COM1, then next PmComm object can communicate for example through COM2 (COM3,..) but it mustn't communicate through COM1.

Baud rateSelection of the baud rate (bps, bit per second).

This configurator sets the initial value of the property BaudRate.

After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmComm > Settings of the serial link parameters > Baud rate

Protocol formatDefines the structure of the protocol. Depends on the PLC type and the setup (e.g. depends on MODE switch setting on AJ71C24 communication module).
3E/ASCII = Q series ethernet (compatible 3E), ASCII Format (for Q series E71) -

The Ethernet protocol for PLCs of the L and Q-E71 series. It is a modification of the "ASCII code" (the modification of the "binary code" has not been implemented in the driver).

3C/CF1 = Q series serial (compatible 3C), Control Format 1 -

The serial line protocol for Q C24 series PLCs. It is the basic (recommended) mode and there are three derived submodes.

3C/CF2 = Q series serial (compatible 3C), Control Format 2 (Format 1 with block num added) -

Submode of the 3C/CF1 format, with added block number.

3C/CF3 = Q series serial (compatible 3C), Control Format 3 (Format 1 with STX+ETX added) -

Submode of the 3C/CF1 format, where the protocol starts with the STX (=2) character and ends with the ETX (=3) character.

3C/CF4 = Q series serial (compatible 3C), Control Format 4 (Format 1 with CR+LF added) -

Submode of the 3C/CF1 format, where the two CR+LF characters are placed at the end of each message.

1C/CF1 = A series (compatible 1C), Control Format 1 -

Protocol for serial line for A series PLCs, burt can also be used for Q series PLCs. It is the basic (recommended) mode and there are three derived submodes.

1C/CF2 = A series (compatible 1C), Control Format 2 (Format 1 with block num added) -

Submode of the 1C/CF1 format, with added block number.

1C/CF3 = A series (compatible 1C), Control Format 3 (Format 1 with STX+ETX added) -

Ethernet protocol for A series PLCs with additional communication module A1SJ71E71-B2/B5. The SW2 switch is in the ASCII protocol syntax position.

A1E/BIN = A series Ethernet Binary (for A1SJ71E71 Ethernet interface module) -

Ethernet protocol for PLCs of the FX series with integrated Ethernet port and A series PLCs with additional communication module A1SJ71E71-B2/B5. In the device the Communication Data Code switch (or SW2 switch on modules) must be switched to binary protocol syntax position.

Communication refresh rate [ms]The time period in milliseconds to be used for reading the data by the PROMOTIC application. After this preconfiguration is created, the configurator is se to: PmCommData > Parameters > Communication refresh rate [ms]
