A panel with methods for FTP file transfer (upload/download)
This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object"
in the local object menu or by pressing the Insert
key after selecting the object) and is included in the group: " / Communications / FTP communication protocol"
This preconfiguration can be used with the objects: PmFolder or PmRoot.
- Preconfiguration creates an object of type PmPanel
containing the FTPdownload
methods. These have the sDir
parameters. The window contains the PmiWEdit
graphic items used for entering the folder address containing the desired files on the FTP server, the address and filename of the file on local disc and the name of the target saved file. Additional items are the PmiButton
, that provide the FTPdownload
methods in the onButtonUp
event with the specified values and then the desired files are uploaded/downloaded from/to the FTP server.
- In a window that appears before the object is created, it is necessary to enter the information needed for FTP connection.
- The preconfiguration is created including the panel (PmPanel
object) functionality as a Web panel
. In order to make the preconfiguration functional also for the Web, it is necessary to enable the PmPanel
object for the Web (on the Web Server
The technology used is running in a synchronous mode, therefore it is recommended to call the file transfer methods in a real Promotic application from the PmSequencer
These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:
|The name of created object||Name of the object created in the application object tree. This is a system name and must not contain empty string, diacritics, spaces and the first character must not be a number.|
|FTP transfer type|
0 = sending/download (default) - allows to download and upload files to/from FTP server
1 = only sending - allows only to upload files to FTP server
2 = only download - allows only to download files from FTP server
|FTP server adress||URL address, for example www.ftpserver.com.|
|UserID on the FTP server||FTP user name|
|Password on the FTP server||FTP user password|
