How to save item among preconfigured items
The Graphic items preconfigurations
contains the most used item types. Although it may happen that the designer creates his own compound item that he wants to use multiple times, in different panels. In such case, it is advisable to add such item into the preconfigurations.
Select the items that you want to add into the preconfiguration group as user-defined item. Click the item with by the right mouse button and select the option "Marked items / Save marked items into preconfigurations"
. In the Name of user-defined graphic item
window, enter the filename to be used for saving the user-defined item.
After opening the "Graphic items preconfigurations
" window select the new gropup in Preconfiguration group: User items
on the left side of the palette. The new compound item will be then available in this group.
The graphic item saved in the palette is saved into the separate file that has the same name as the item with the extension pmi (Promotic Item). Created *.pmi file is text XML file.
Saving into the preconfiguration group is useful mainly if the designer creates the compound graphic item that is to be used repeatedly (also in other projects).
